pACYC-II-Spe1

This vector enables replication of constructs carrying phage M13 origin of replication in Escherichia coli cells.

This vector is a small, medium copy number, E.coli plasmid, 4701 bp in length.

The plasmid contains:
1) the p15A replicon (ori) responsible for plasmid replication (source - plasmid pACYC184);
2) the Spc(R) sequence confers resistance to spectinomycin;
3) genes for phage M13 proteins II and X that support plasmids carrying phage M13 origin of replication.

The plasmid is fully compatible with those carrying the pMB1 and ColE1 replicons.
